Saving money.....or not

were only a smallish office,,,,about 15 p+l....and 5 singles...
a d.o.m and a 2nd in command.

lately were massively understaffed,,,sickness and postmen left vacancies still open.

But now we have 2 more managers in sooooo we have 4 chiefs and not a lot of Indians in a morning.
were are they saving by 3 managers fighting over who gets the coffee in.

I'd like to know why is it that our union are quite happy to go along with cutting postman jobs and making more part time jobs, but managers are allowed to multiply?
We should insist no more cuts until managers are cut or moved to part time.
We were told in our office that managers were going to be cut in Jan from 1 Dom plus 4 underlings to 1 Dom,1 grade 3 and 1 graduate...
Well this lasted all of 5 months, now we have 1 Dom, 1 grade 3 plus 3 acting managers, and then they have the cheek to say we have to give up another 240 hours per week

Hi... I'm trying to understand your post.. what you are experiencing in your office.... is happening every where.. so don't feel alone......

Royal mail now is only about profit. To the wealthy.. the share holder...

So they can sit on a £10 million pound cruiser in the Indian ocean... drinking bottles of £1000 pound champagne on a wooden glossed deck.. at the expense of the good people in delivery being screwed over their overtime .... not being paid for their hard work....

Our office is double that size and 99% of the time we have one 'Jack of all trades' DOM/LINO/CALL HANDLER/PREPPER AND DELIVERER OF MAIL BROUGHT BACK.

Graduate? Are they taking the piss? Why do you need a degree to be a manager? God help us.
