Clocking out

Been told as of this week everyone must return to office to sign out? Apparently became law this week?

what if you're on a van share, do you take his/hers last loop so they can finish at the same time?
i know a few who go straight home leaving the driver with 20/25 mins more work including logging their partners pda out after scanning their collections.

When TWF was written we didn't have PDAs etc.
I can't be arsed to look now but doesn't one of the later agreements (BT 2010?) say that all duties will be planned with people returning to the office?

what that agreement actually says

The majority of delivery routes will be designed to start and finish at the workplace; however there will be some duties where it is more beneficial for both parties to agree alternative arrangements. In addition pouching off arrangements will remain where it is practical and efficient to do so.

As the manager is now making a change which does not appear to be related to any revision activity, then there is no way to tell how this office is supposed to run, any change to what is happening in the custom and practice of the office can be challenged using the agreements which are still in force, the way forward says no need to return soley for signing off, the bt 2010 says it is permittable to plan duties so as the do not finish at the office and the bt2010 even says pouching off is still allowed so that covers the pda being returned as well, the bit about pouching off is quite key as it says "will remain" if practical, that seems a clear indicator that they should happen
