Any one used Post Office Platinum Card abroad? Any good? A friend is going abroad and rather than take loads of cash for a month is thinking of taking this card. 2.5 percent for withdrawl at ATMs. Free to make purchases and 27.9 percent APR. Your input welcome please

APR is a bit high but if you pay off the full balance then it's not an issue, I use my credit card basically as cash. Use it today, pay it tomorrow and get cashback on every purchase. Not much but I give them nothing in interest.

I used since last 4 years on abroad rate is excellent special y on purchase. Make sure u told them before going abroad

Thanks Guys. He is looking to use the card for a month to the tune of about a thousand Pounds so not a huge amount over a long period of time. Certainly safer than walking around with a grand in cash on Your person.
