New pda, no signal

I'm sure some of you have had this problem so I was wondering how it is resolved. We received our new pda's on Tuesday for 'going live' on Friday. (The fact that they had been sitting in our hub office for a month is a different matter)
To cut a long story short, it seems the EE signal in our area is not strong enough for the pda's to connect. It connects to O2, but won't let you log on. They have been tested in the hub office and seem to work ok, but fail to log on in our area.
Looks like we'll be using the old ones for a while longer. Anyone else had this problem?

Yes we have had the same problem. After a trial run everyone was given the new ones and after the first week they have all been recalled and the entire office is back to the old ones.

Yep. Same in our office. Manager came to our small rural office this morning to brief us so that we could go live today. They couldn't connect to EE either and only recognised O2. Signal was so weak we couldn't log any of them on.

you really would have thought the business would have thought about this before hand wouldnt you ? are am i just being silly !!!

I dont know how widespread this will be as EE coverage is probably the best in the country, so it could be that we`ll see a lot of posts by the minority here. We`re still on the old PDAs and i get no signal where my duty is.

We've had the new pda's for a few months and we all had problems this morning logging on and downloading collection info. Will say however this is the first time we've had issues since using them.

We've had em a couple of months now and couldn't log on today,this has happened twice already,I should say the system is overloaded.

No signal in the office but ok when we leave.
Staffordshire, supposedly average network coverage.

I'll just be happy if the battery lasts long enough to do the job, lack of signal is their problem.

Had ours a couple of weeks now, new Manager tried to conduct code me because I 'didnt' scan a Tracked - turns out it was the day the pdas were not connecting to the network although she tried to insist it was a different day

We're still using the old brick ones, by the time we get them they will be hand-me-downs from a bigger office, just like the vans
