The results of this year’s Employee Survey are available and teams should now work together to build their action plans.
All managers have been sent an action plan guide, which has been designed to help teams develop their plan. The guide sets out a simple five-step process:
- Step one – managers to understand results
Step two – managers to share results with rep and team
Step three – team and managers to develop action plan
Step four – plan communicated to the team by manager
Step five – plan delivered
The results from this year’s Employee Survey, which was completed by 84% of all colleagues, are now available.
Index scores
The survey results include three key index areas: engagement, customer focus, and culture. Our index results in these areas are:
- Engagement Index: 57 (+1 from 2015)
Customer Focus Index: 67 (-2 from 2015)
Culture Index: 48 (level with 2015)
More people than last year say we are open to new ways of doing things and more than two thirds of our people say they are proud to work for Royal Mail.
While we have made improvements on listening to each other and helping you to feel valued and recognised, we still need to do more. We also need to commit to taking action on the survey results – only one in three colleagues felt that action was taken following last year’s survey.
You can find out more about this year’s results in this week’s RMtv, which includes an interview with our head of culture change and engagement, Rachel Blackett. Look out for your Employee Survey results home mailing, arriving at homes from today (Monday).
