Hours getting slashed

As the title says im starting at 0800 instead of 0600. This means on an average week I am dropping 10 hours

.

The thing is I am the only part time employee that this is happening to in the office.

Is this ok or could this fall under the bracket of discrimination?

If you are casual then, unfortunately, they can cut your hours.

If you are a temp then I believe they have to issue a new contract to drop your hours.

If you are permanent then they should not drop your hours without agreement. Full-time employees will retain full-time status unless they volunteer to
move to part time hours. Part-time employees will be entitled to retain

However, for full disclosure, there is nothing illegal about RM (or any business) changing your hours as long as they follow the correct procedure. If the worker disagrees with it there are steps they can take. Hopefully, as I say this won't apply if you are a permanent employee.

book the 2 hours at the end of your shift. your round probably won't be prepped, suck it up and it will soon change.

Talk of similar thing happening in our office, cutting hours in morning, cutting pressure OT.

Yet duties/packets are failing daily ...

no hollywood movie here............... loads of walks failing everyday, the USO failing.... no new staff.. tracked failing, cost cutting,, striped to the bone..

As they appear to be in a lot of offices. Won't be long now before the lobbying starts to scrap the USO,then we are on the slippery slope.

Basically someone throws in my male who doesnt know the round (sometimes 3people to many cooks if you ask me).

Someone else then goes out and delivers the big parcels on my round (not aware of safe places or alternative addresses resulting in more parcels being brought back).

I come in at 8 load the van and go and deliver. Meaning I am half an hour later than usual so i get hammered by the school run.

The bags are all wrong because he doesn't know the round whos bagging up which isn't his fault.

Delivering parcels and mail twice to the same address in one day.

Don't get me started on miss sorts I have to bring back which is usually half a bundle.

Its on my head still if i misdeliver to a wrong address even though I am trying my best to catch them on the doorstep.

It really isnt an efficient way of working which is a shame as i really enjoyed the job

are you the least senior out of the people who could have had hours slashed ? im assuming youre PT and are getting your agreed hours but just not as many as you were before through OT ?
Your last post, all those things should be affecting your ability to complete, are you rushing to make up for it ? if so dont. Follow cutting off procedure if all these things are happening otherwise the managers have shown to be justified in reducing the hours on your duty.
RM dont care so much about real efficiencies, they just try and cost cut and hope the staff make up for it by rushing around, and in many cases this has happened.

What time is school run? My first letter today was 10:40nand yes I cut off
