The results of this year’s Employee Survey are available and teams should now work together to build their action plans.

All managers have been sent an action plan guide, which has been designed to help teams develop their plan. The guide sets out a simple five-step process:
  • Step one – managers to understand results
Step two – managers to share results with rep and team
Step three – team and managers to develop action plan
Step four – plan communicated to the team by manager
    Step five – plan delivered
This year, a number of focus groups have taken place with colleagues across the business to gain insight into our results. Next week, an engagement workshop will be taking place with managers, frontline colleagues and union reps to help shape the Royal Mail Group overall action plan.

The results from this year’s Employee Survey, which was completed by 84% of all colleagues, are now available.

Index scores

The survey results include three key index areas: engagement, customer focus, and culture. Our index results in these areas are:
  • Engagement Index: 57 (+1 from 2015)
    Customer Focus Index: 67 (-2 from 2015)
Culture Index: 48 (level with 2015)
Headline results

More people than last year say we are open to new ways of doing things and more than two thirds of our people say they are proud to work for Royal Mail.

While we have made improvements on listening to each other and helping you to feel valued and recognised, we still need to do more. We also need to commit to taking action on the survey results – only one in three colleagues felt that action was taken following last year’s survey.

You can find out more about this year’s results in this week’s RMtv, which includes an interview with our head of culture change and engagement, Rachel Blackett. Look out for your Employee Survey results home mailing, arriving at homes from today (Monday).
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

In the words of Mark Twain: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." As though any kind of 'consultation' would conscience the powers that be to deviate from their path of self-entitlement and self-enrichment. We're no longer a proud service, merely chattels of corporate greed and your opinions count for nothing against the dollar.
You do the work, they get the loot. The men with the smiles and the 3 piece suits.

I think the true test, is when staff are allowed to sell their shares, what percentage of staff will sell at the first opportunity? That should show what the staff think of the company.

Where is the results on employees being bullied. Seems to have been omitted from the published survey results 2016 ! Do they only publish the bits that are good or ok at best ?
