EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALLY?
Last Saturday, because of the backlog of mail in our D/O,some staff were asked if they wanted O/T on Sunday. It turns out that the only ones that were asked was the strike breakers.Only 2 out of the 7 strike breakers came in and managed to book 3 hours each on IPS.A few of us asked the DOM why was it that they were the only ones that were asked. He said that because they hadnt damaged the business and were loyal to RM that they had the option to do O/T.

We had a bloke at our office who thought it was a good idea to go to the manager and ask if he could start the resign(network 2007) whilst we were out on strike cause he had no seniority and stood a better chance of a good job. What a low life t**t!
Thank goodness the manager had a bit of sense and told him no chance.
If he didnt there would of been about 80 grievances going in when we came back in from a mass walkout within our section.

You should all put grievances in everyone should get the same treatment and NO dom should come out with comments like that speak to your area repDINKER wrote:Last Saturday, because of the backlog of mail in our D/O,some staff were asked if they wanted O/T on Sunday.

GO FOR IT!!! THAT'S A CLEAR CASE OF DISCRIMINATION YOU ARE EQUALLY ENTITLED TO ANY OVERTIME THAT'S OFFERED (THO' PERSONALLY I'D TELL THEM WHERE TO STICK IT).DINKER wrote:Last Saturday, because of the backlog of mail in our D/O,some staff were asked if they wanted O/T on Sunday.

Any witneses get names and statement pass on your own statement with grevence form, inform your rep and area rep. Claim loss of potential ernings being denied you. Also ask for a overtime rosta to be used to ensure everyone gets to have a slice of the pie not just the MONEY GRABBING SCAB BASTARDS. But try to stay calm and polite as these things can get out of hand and thats what the D.O.MS want. Good Luck.DINKER wrote:Last Saturday, because of the backlog of mail in our D/O,some staff were asked if they wanted O/T on Sunday. It turns out that the only ones that were asked was the strike breakers.Only 2 out of the 7 strike breakers came in and managed to book 3 hours each on IPS.A few of us asked the DOM why was it that they were the only ones that were asked. He said that because they hadnt damaged the business and were loyal to RM that they had the option to do O/T.

we have grievances in my office on this issue, they have exhausted the grievance procedure and now they are about to go to the employment tribunal.shelanda wrote:You should all put grievances in everyone should get the same treatment and NO dom should come out with comments like that speak to your area repDINKER wrote:Last Saturday, because of the backlog of mail in our D/O,some staff were asked if they wanted O/T on Sunday.
