Banging the management

Guy I work with is having it off with out manager. He and she are both married so it's an affair aswell. Thing is he's in the office doors closed for ages during prep time and we all know what happening cos he's actually said as much before. So its in work time. It's impacting the prep time as we're a guy down. He's in there getting his end away and top it all off the guys getting OT. He's not having to go through the usual nonsense about no claiming etc. We're all moaned at for claiming half hour and he's knocking it out and getting bloody OT. This is mental!!

If you see the policies at a glance which are available on this website, there is one on conflict of interest. we used this to have our resource manager's mistress removed, the DOMs mistress removed and 2 line managers were removed. One cause his mistress was a postlady and the other was cause his son was given favouritism. The conflict of interest worked in our delivery office, so use this and good luck

Thanks for the information guys. I don't have a problem with what they are doing although is immoral on both of them. The issue we all have in the DO is that it's happening on work time and he's basically getting paid for it! Everything is being stripped back to computer says X amount of mins for prep etc with a full workforce but when one guy is being whipped off to service the boss it's impact on everyone. We only have 1 manager she doesn't have anyone under her (no pun!) lol so maybe whistle-blower is the way to go. Thing is whoever speaks out is potentially ruining 2 life's. But then they don't seem to care about partners when it's happening.

their actions are ruining lives, you dont have to worry about that... the issue at hand is that the colleague and manager are getting paid to fck about ... literally, report it.

Also the posties wife has been in our office a few times over the years and she's a really nice lady and clearly loves him we had a fete thing in the yard last summer with stalls and she was the first there and worked all day raising the funds and at one point he the postie actual disappeared to clean the DOMs pipes and his wife was oblivious so we, the rest of the posties, look like we all know and are just as guilty by association. I feel terrible about this now the more I think about it

well well nothing changes in rm back stabbing s**t stirring when will you all learn just to keep your noses out of other folks business who gives a s**t and who he is banging anyhow is the manager in question fit

maybe a bit of the old green eye is creeping in here and to be honest i dont think you should be be putting this up on the web

as you could end up in a whole load of crap yourself

I'm generally of the "don't grass" type, people are always gonna go about having affairs and whatnot (which is very naughty) but in this case I'd say to make an anonymous tip somewhere because, as you say, it's affecting the whole office.

viking says you could end up in a load of crap yourself, nah you won't, the guy in question is hardly gonna go make a scene about someone talking about his secret affair, but maybe it'll make them smarten up and keep it out of the office!

Ok I've taken this on board. I'm mainly ranting because of the OT issue. If the posties are getting grief for legit claims and he's getting paid to roll in the hay you can see why we're all a bit peeved. Vikings comment did make me laugh about her being fit. I wouldn't talk about the woman like that. But rest assured there's no green eye involved lol. Regardless of good or bad looks it's poor show Imo and in the rest of the office. Someone will have a skilfull down the pub and blurt it out anyway. This on small village here only 9 posties all in. This swine doesn't work computers so I doubt he'll ever find this message on here lol. Anyway to finish I'm gonna say to the rest of the posties tomorrow about this message and the replies and we'll decide as a unit where to go.

It happens more often than you realise. I can think of a couple of female managers who have had close encounters with posties, more than one in both cases although not at the same time

We all know it's wrong what's going on here, that much is obvious. His wife and her husband deserve to know so that they can make a decision as to what to do. Wouldn't you want to know, if it were your wife? You're in a difficult position. It comes down to whether you and your colleagues have the courage to do something about it.

Well I wouldn't say it was "snivelling grass" material: if you saw someone stealing birthday cards would you say something? Well here's a guy who's poking the manager for OT money which in effect is stealing and/or fraud either way I'd report it.
