As above and...
It is a no strings deal to allow further talks on all issues including one wave, one plan etc.
It is anticipated that the PEC will endorse the agreement next Tuesday and it will be put to the members in terms of a vote.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

So basically, back to where we were before the increased NI contributions cut our wage back in April?

Can't see one wave ever happening, DO staff apart from those taking out 9am specials would be 9-5 for that to work

It's unlikely a 9-5 would be needed especially if we end up on a 36 hr week.
Most offices would get their sequenced mail before or around 8.30 am and would probably have enough manual ,D2D and parcel work in to justify an 8.15 start and a 3.15-3.30 pm finish time.
Not a huge difference for most and talk of a 9-5 is just scaremongering.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

We're paid exceptionally well for what is essentially manual labour. That's a 0.3% above inflation pay rise with no strings attached, sounds like the union have done a great job to me.

I hoping at least 2.5% extra pay, or the same pay for no more than a 38 hour contract with better overtime rate, for 2016-7.

Who accepts the first 'offer' anyway? Nobody I hope. It's just the first move in the negotiations, a starting point, not a realistic offer.

It will be signed, sealed and delivered before you can even think about it. No strings attached? Do me a favour.NewPostieUK wrote:Who accepts the first 'offer' anyway? Nobody I hope. It's just the first move in the negotiations, a starting point, not a realistic offer.

It's about time that they paid double time for working your day off - makes it worth doing then.
They take the profits, you take the blame
When they tell you there's no rise in pay
