Streaming mail.

hi can you tell me if there is a new agreement to save money and not to pay any pressure o/t in the HU area ? weve been told for the last 3 days no o/t can be paid so take 1st and 2nd class mail and fail dsa pkts and parcels etc to get back on your finish time , its a f***ing nightmare to work like this , theres mail all over the place , and the stuff left pkts and mail in ours frames for Tuesday is a joke , any help would be good.

we don't but when your messing about picking mail out of an 800 call frame its a nightmare mate and argueing about bringing pkts and parcels back .

does the powers in the CWU know whats going on ? and most importantly the customers who are sat waiting for stuff , its a discrace.

streaming of mail is forbidden and cwu sent out a ltb asking for any cases of it to be reported to hq, I would also personally email moya anonymously and let her know what's going on, that usually stops it very quickly

Anyone can, but seriously emailing moya about mail streaming will get it stopped far far quicker, see its all about figures and streaming mail and/or hiding it is a big problem for those higher up

All mail arriving at DOs is 1st class, the time difference between 1st class and 2nd class is built into when the mail goes from the outward MC to the inward MC

Kind of true but not entirely.
If a royal mail product has a spec of 3-5 days it doesn't deliberately get held in the pipeline for 5 days, of course that doesn't apply to DSA, we don't control the spec for that, the customer does.

also if the inward mc and outward mc are the same the 2nd class can return next working day so in effect has returned within the time spec of 1st class with no delay, so could (though definitely not allowed) be delayed in the do by a day and still delivered at the same time as items posted through other mc

ALL 2C gets separated from 1C on day 1 (the day it's posted), it gets put to one side and is dispatched on day 2

We get most local 2c back the next working day, on the west coast of scotland
