Resign end of seniority ?

Can anyone sort this one out. We're having a resign where the rep is not allowing us to sign for the duty we want, meaning the seniority is being lost. We have shared vans & we have all been working like this for years, we have had two drivers on each van in lots of cases so we can alternate the weeks driving if we wish without any problems. Now this new resign all of a sudden we can't sign for a walk if were a driver, even though there's more walks than walkers & even more drivers than drives. The rep has already stated that at the bottom end of the resign drivers will have to fill walks as there's more drivers than drives.... So why can't we sign for a walk, like we have done for years & years ?? If I can't sign for the walk I want because I'm a driver, a walker much further down the seniority list will get my choice of round, making seniority redundant. I'd like to know where I stand as I have to pick tomorrow.... Anyone??

Get in touch with your area rep and just tell him what you stated here, They cant stop somebody picking a walking round just because they can drive . All the duties should be listed and then the most senior opg picks,its that simple.

Got in touch with area rep who phoned our rep & reminded him how seniority worked & now we can sign for what we want....
