polling cards nightmare...

So I went over today by two hours, got back and saw a big sign stating we had to choose the polling card money or our overtime.
What a disgrace, surely they aren't allowed to do that? They knew none of us were aware of the choice as we would all have cut off! Ridiculous.

Is it just my depot? What will the union rep do about it?

Same, absolute joke. I'm cutting off tomorrow. We go over everyday, how is today any different?
They always make us feel guilty cutting off and try to discourage it. They can literally get stuffed.

Hi , Much the same happen in my office.....No overtime,because we are being paid for them...but we are not allowed to claim extented at all!!,,,,,I've gone over about 9 hours this week if you include the lunch breaks not taken....all they say is your not going fast enough.....WHY IS NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT THIS BULLYING!.

Hi Again why can't the union issue a national statement stating that forced overtime will not be tolerated....I'm sure this is Royal mail policy

Just take overtime or cut off in our office. If a manager suggested what you are saying, everybody would head straight for the door.

No overtime allowed when poll cards are in etc , Were told . Where is our union then? Pay a fair wack over the year in fees , got to the point a good few in our place are afraid to put in any overtime all year!

Did you follow the correct cutting off procedure today and inform your dom you would be over before going out on delivery? or as soon as you knew after you left?

Does this mean we don't get paid the overtime all week?! Even though the poll cards only came out today?!

mention cutting off in my office the mangers start talking about investigations ie, your not going fast enough....meaning you can't do the job,perhaps its best you leave........total bullying and they get away with it!......

Well, that's it. My finish time is 2.30. My round can't be completed in that time. Not my problem from now on.
