We are having a resign in our office, and there is a lot of unhappy people,
So my question is.. is the way of working agreement still valid,
Or is it all about the BT2010?
Thanks Mal

Its both.
The manager and the rep (with the agreement of members) must come up with a way to square the circle. The problem is the Major Change section says that duties should be picked on seniority basis for non-skilled jobs.
The problem is that with CDVs you need 1 driver (minimum per pair) and ideally most reserves should also be drivers. If you insist on Seniority totaly holding the field you have to find some way of ensuring all driving slots are covered and that no non-drivers select a drivers position. Inevitably this will mean that new starters who can drive (its in their employment contract that they have to now) will get "better" duties than more senior ones. Depending on the local situation its also possible that non-drivers get a better chance at the best duties than more senior driving posties.
Good luck trying to work it out.

In the way of working agreement, there is a piece that says
So can i just clarify, this rule is still in place
I don't want her to brush my aside again, I need facts.
Thanks mal
Now I went to my rep with this and she said this is no longer the case, employees whose jobs remain unaffected by major change will retain them

As far as I know yes.
But it does mean no changes. If starting times have changed etc then it goes in the pot, its not just the route thats taken into account.
