No nesting of D2D's

This week, all households in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are being sent the Government public information leaflet.

From Monday 9 May to Saturday 14 May these high-profile door-to-door items must be delivered to all residential households in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

No nesting

As with all door-to-door items we handle, the Government public information leaflets must not be nested. Door-to-door items should be placed on top of each other. Do not put one item inside another.

These leaflets were successfully delivered to all households in England in April.

why are we not getting paid for them

We've been bollocked about nesting in the past, not that I personally have ever done it. I don't understand why people do it tbh. It's NO quicker WHATSOEVER, despite what some people on these boards say about "oh what about when you have 7 of them" yeah if you have 7 of them you just pick them up, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and stick them in the frame like that, rather than pick them up like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7, then put them inside eachother then put them in the frame. And no, nesting them does not take up less space.

We're not getting paid for them as they have just come in as another d2d. I was mildly disappointing about that myself tbh, but I am glad that it means there's no extra pressure on them.

the argument for nesting is not about the quickness indoor rather than outdoor. if you put them in your frame singular and you have 6 sets, and double slots, then time is then taken up filtering through 12 sets of d2d before you come across your next letter. as it happens our DOM couldn't give a toss whether we nest them or not. and everybody in our office nests them.

I dont particularly believe that either. If you have a double slot and put them in as 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6, 6 being the biggest d2d, then it's fairly simple to keep it in order. That is, unless you've had someone else prepping your frame. In that case you're totally right, it's always a jumble for me if someone else has been doing it for me.

Back on topic of the actual d2d item in question, is it treated as a normal d2d in that people who have opted out don't get it?
