Supporting other offices...

Post by MegaGherkin »

Every week I been shipped off the other offices to support, I don't mind helping out in other offices but when I'm the 'go too people' when it comes to supporting other offices it's a bit draining.

Do I have to go to other office to support?

There are plenty of other cover staff in my office but I'm the one that always gets sent, is there anything I can do about this because I don't think it's at all fair, there should be some kind of rota put in place for this.

You can insist in starting and finish at your correct start and finish times at your own office and do the travelling to and from the other do in your work time, coupled by refusing to use your own car and insisting on either transport to and back or a van,

when you start to do this it dramatically cuts down on the time you can actually work in the other do you will soon find someone else gets sent

Working in nearby offices – Areas will identify and agree with the CWU locally an approach (which could include the use of volunteers and reserves) to working in nearby offices within employees’ contracted hours which will include travel times and appropriate travel and subsistence arrangements.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Here is the pertain point in your argument " I don't mind helping out in other offices but" Say you do mind and why are you always picking on me always helps and if you continue I will see my rep that's what you pay them for.
