Royal Mail's first offer on pay to the CWU was :
0.37% worth £1.42
This was to be self funded by removing all legacy payments including :
RRIS
Ex PHG reserved rights
EX £6 driving allowance
All PBS and ICS bonus monies
After the £1.42 the outstanding money would fund a non consolidated and non pensionable lump sum of £62
Royal Mail are not at this stage going to offer a pay offer even remotely acceptable based on the following
Ofcom's review of Royal Mail's efficiency report and recommendations are imminent and they will not look at increasing the pay bill at this stage. Hence why the offer they made was self funded by existing monies
And Unite are balloting and they will not inflame the situation by offering us a big improvement at this stage
