Personally I like the early starts as they suit me and my commitments and this is one of the reasons why I applied for this job. Could the 8 am start be sanctioned by the manager and I have no say in the matter?

Change of duty start time
I am one part of a pair and share job and the start time is 6.30 am. The other half of the job is vacant at present but I know of someone who is interested in the vacancy. Can that person (providing they get the job), request a change in the start times? i.e. a later start at 8am? This position is based on a 30 hour contract working 6 hours a day over 6 days.
