Not a reasonable request, "just say it" if you and your rep cannot get this stopped.

Does this still hold the ground as this is what were being told to do on a daily basis now.
It takes longer to stream than to tie up

Best advice is follow said instruction by management but have a witness or two then you are only following orders given to you if anything happens like the IB turn up after you go out and he denies he said to streaming the mail it will be his head who will fall.

That's the thing how do we know if they've had permission and what would be the circumstances that they would get permission?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Yes

More often than not we're told to stream out on delivery.k979aaa wrote:Best advice is follow said instruction by management but have a witness or two then you are only following orders given to you if anything happens like the IB turn up after you go out and he denies he said to streaming the mail it will be his head who will fall.
This is all starting to stink.

I agree you must have a workload agreed before you go out but anything can happen when you get out on delivery and streaming mail is an accident waiting to happen also it is not a secure delivery procedure taking mail out and not delivering it. And the IB could be at your office when you get back wonder if he will say he told you to do it then?Sugar wrote:That's the thing how do we know if they've had permission and what would be the circumstances that they would get permission?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Yes

If your rep reports streaming up the line as requested in the letter then the fact they have or have not got permission will be highlighted.Sugar wrote:That's the thing how do we know if they've had permission and what would be the circumstances that they would get permission?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Yes

But they won't have permission and this is the way to sort it out.

In our office if the managers stream mail it's called "Operational needs". If a postman does it it's called "Wilful Delay"
