Redelivering Specials

Do they have to be done by 1pm?
I had one today and was told it was still to be attempted before 1. It had been lying in the locker since Saturday.
Seemed crazy to me.
One of the last houses as well so had to go out my way to do it.

Unfortunately yes it does need to be done by 1300. Got it directly via 'justsayit'

It needs to be done by 13:00 in as much as it would show up on system as a failure. However, the reason for chasing up failures is to minimize customer compensation claims - a redelivered SD item, delivered after 1pm has no claim for compensation, provided the original attempt was prior to 1pm.

I've never tried to redeliver a Special by 1.00pm and it's never been classed as a failure. So the answer is NO you don't have to redeliver Specials by 1.00pm.

Sorry, but I disagree. The customer doesn't have 2 bites of the same cherry. Next day delivery by 1.00pm has been tried and this is a redelivery so no failure for what they paid for. Our redelivery of specials are allocated and our PHG in RLE has been doing the job for over 30 years.

Deliver and scan ANY time during duty, same as a 9' 0 clocker that goes back out on normal duty that same day. Neither are classed as failures.
Once scanned initially the contract on timed delivery has been completed.

Big posters up in our office saying ALL SD's inc redeliveries have to be delivered by 1pm or they will fail.
