Okay sorry if this is incorrect or just rumours but my wife has just turned up for work in a mail centre and apparently RM have given 28 days notice of an efficency review across the board and local disputes are breaking out all over !! this is and i EMPNASISE unconfirmed at the moment but it could be a reason for the emergency meeting of the PEC !!

I am in the east of england
PE postcode area
We have a mini revision waiting to go in, we have 2000 house being built right now, we have interviewed today for 2 FT posts to be filled and the D.O.M has made it clear to his manager that 5% savings is not possible.
We made a fair chunk of savings under the effecincy scheme, night s went with SDD what is their left to take?
3 duties being covered with overtime next week
Savings? Please dont make me laugh!
Once RM eventually close the callers office in the pm period and scrap the SA that covers it in the PM period thats it nothing left to take in myD.O without work being uncovered and left to those who wish to do catch overtime

Good laugh for you
Our office made 16% savings about a year and a half ago through the 50/50 and guess what happened next?
Yep you've guessed it, we were magically bundled in with another unit 'MASSIVE' that made hardly any savings at all.
So insted of getting around £900 each our whole office got zilch!!
Never trusted Royal Mail since and never will!!
Don't ever sign up for anything that has TRIAL in it - they are the biggest cons ever.
