annual leave and rostered day off
In theory, he can, but they shouldn't charge you a day for the Saturday.
On moral grounds its a s**t trick, he's making his life easier so he can use you all week. Have a word with the rep see if he can get him to change his mind.
Make sure you get the day back.

Not sure what the problem is? You will get the Saturday you booked off from annual leave credited back to you if it falls on your day off that week so you won't be losing anything?
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

as above, you're still getting your days requested + another day to pick later,
it is a dirty stunt your manager as pulled but doubt there's nothing much you can do about it, they once tried to change my day off at the last minute to coincide with my mothers funeral!
if it really peeves you off, demand that the extra day must be taken in march and refuse to carry it over (assuming next month is fully booked)
