Really taking the piss now, rumours and Chinese whispers abound, 5 year plans, 12 month plans, one wave, later starts, longer deliveries, more VRs.

No coherent, cohesive position as yet, what's going to happen?
I'll tell you, because no-one knows what's going on some units will agree to this and that, royal mail will pick us off , further divide an already disengaged membership and undermine any attempt to fight these changes.

The election of Dave Ward as GS was supposed to herald a new era of industrial and political cooperative action, where?
And don't get me started on the Terry and June(Bob) show. Get your arses in gear sharpish or we're all royally screwed.

Dead right, we need as many members as possible to contact CWU HQ to get them to send a directive to all branches not to enter into any discussions around any item contained in the company's five year plan, we need the union to tell the company not to attempt to bring in their plans on an area basis it has to be negotiated nationally. I hate to say it but with no positivity coming from the union at national level I'm smelling a rat.

how long did all this kind of shite go on for in the 2010 deal of the century. was it a month or more? can't remember. April is just over 5 weeks away. COMMUNICATION union my arse.

Yes no news on this years pay deal,only weeks away till the end of march 3 year pay deal comes to an end. What happened to the inventive scheme to be introduced last year NOTHING happened that's what.

You got a payment out of the incentive scheme. Can't remember exactly how much but it wasn't alot. Something about the workforce would split any profit over £620 million and the profit was £628 so we all got £50 or something. Might of been worth while if it was anything over £500 million but no danger of that happening was there?!

I'd go as far to say,this goes down to the area reps..(not all), but the ones who do try to fight don't get ant support from those higher up, and are told to tow the line.

The PEC met early this week and agreed a policy document for the Policy Forum with recommendations on Pay , Pensions , Resourcing and the Royal Mail Strategy. Plus another motion was carried concerning a membership consultation exercise on the issues with the membership.

This will be out today to Branch"s and Branch"s and Divisions will then be allowed to put forward recommendations to the Policy forum to be held on 22nd and 23rd March.

Thank you for the update dingo, you will excuse me if I don't weep with joy at the speed that the PEC reacts to what is a live situation, no doubt those involved have very important matters to address before they deal with the mundane facts concerning the future of the postal members.

Are we trying to spin out another dispute until Christmas? Unfortunately offices are already being rolled over but I'm sure London can hold out until then so it's all good.
