Just been informed in our office that you will only be allowed to book 7 hrs for working your day off.
They will get someone else to throw off your round and all you will do is deliver!

What is your normal hrs,7 hrs to pick up and go is tbf really good!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We have a lot of 9 day fortnight duties in our office, so instead of 9 hrs + you get at the mo it will only be 7....you will theoretically have your round thrown off for you, but how can you completely throw off a rural round blind?

We had similar in our office Dom said we would get 548 for day off as we would come into fully prepped duty so we all said we won't be working out days off now we get 748 easy peasy

They tried that in our office it did not last long when we were all suddenly busy to work our days off :Very Happy

What happened to utilizing all paid work hours?

We get 6 hours and you prep it yourself.

30 minutes redirections tie down etc
10 minutes conveyance
3 hours 40 delivery

Something like that.
Some duties are paid as SA so they don't attract the paid meal relief, that gives an extra 30 minutes if the duties are heavier, or further away or whatever.

If you work more than 6 hours, you claim extended.
What I don't understand is why some people think they are entitled to double pay or time and a half (or triple time?)
Is there a list up in your DOs of who is entitled to what? Is it transparent?
Aren't we all equal?

Are you working as a van share? If so in our place one of the pair preps both rounds. If you are doing this you must have very light/easy duties to be able to prep them both in an hour
