The holiday entitlement is:
On entry - Four and a half weeks.
After 5 years - Four weeks and 3.5 days.
After 15 years - Five weeks and 1 day.
after 20 years - Six weeks.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If you are 15 years before April then it increases the next leave year. If after then the next leave year.

The actual agreement says "after" rather than "on" which is why I think its the 1st full year after.

I don't think that's strictly true. For example if the he joined on 1st August 2001 then a percentage of extra leave should be updated in the PSP on the 1st August this year. Ask for a leave card on 2nd August which should show up the difference from pre August leave card.
