Should this week be up for signing on the annual leave sheet , not available to us this year

It was last year.

It is in ours, generally only closed until the 24th.

whether the week is open or not is entirely down to local agreement, I would be asking your rep why he has agreed to closing that week off if has not spoken to delivery staff about it, whilst your at it i would also be asking him why at the start of February is annual leave being sorted out when according to the way forward agreement the whole of the next annual leave years leave should have been sorted out in October,

maybe in your office yes, but what weeks are closed off for Christmas pressure are agreed locally, there is no national definition for it

depends on your local office, it's not a clear cut banned everywhere, our office allows half the leave slots normally for first week in December and then rest closed off including the mid week between xmas and new year

in fact heres the rule in writing on the wayforward agreement

Way Forward Agreement wrote: The leave year will be April to March. The Christmas pressure period, determined by the operational unit, will be a closed period for leave. The selection process should be complete by the end of the preceding October each year.

When we had our first pick that week wasn't available, when it came around again that week was open and available, so I booked it :-)

Maybe your office will open that week up at a later date ?

Why did the rep agree to it if the office is not happy about it? Also blocking off a whole extra month seriously cuts down on leave spaces has it left enough spaces for everyone to take their full allocation?
