Part Absence

Does anyone have a copy of a document that states how long you need to be at work before you can go part absence ?
I heard its 1 hour, and have kinda had it backed up by HR, but after a manager spoke to them they changed their minds slightly, saying that it should be
what ever the local unit has done in the past.
I have seen part of a document on here ( royal mail attendance procedure clarification ) but really need the whole thing

Part Day Sick Absences

If an employee arrives at work but after 1 hour or more felt too ill to continue working and so went home this would constitute a part day absence.

There is no blanket requirement for self certificates for part day absences or Doctors/Dentists appointments which cannot be taken outside working hours,although with the latter appointment cards should be shown/made available.

Where managers have reasonable grounds to suspect that abuse by an individual is taking place or the frequency becomes unacceptable then self-certification may be required.The employee concerned will be told in advance that this will be a future requirement and that such absences may count towards triggering stage warnings.

Warnings will not be triggered based on part day absences unless the employee has been asked to certify such absences and informed that they will count in future.
