Hi all,
I have worked for RM for a number of years now but the latest revision in our office has led to a situation whereby a number of full timers are to be transferred from our office to others. These are to be replaced with part timers. I, unfortunately, am one of those affected by this and I wondered what the process is for the transfer. I do not have my own transport so wondered if RM have to find me an office within a reasonable distance or can i continue to turn up at the office I have been contracted to for the past number of years and it is up to them to get me to wherever the hours are needed?
Any help or advice at all would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Re: Revision leading to transfer
Get on to your area rep asap, in these circumstances they cannot force anyone to transfer, they may make it seem like they can but they can't unless you agree, read up on the ir process as your office may need to go down the disagreement route if unhappy

Cheers for the response, unfortunately our area rep was part of the revision process and was in the meeting when we were told about the need for transfers so I dont know what the next step would be!

try someone above your area rep to clarify the process, it may upset him but you got to look after your own interest.campo1010 wrote:Cheers for the response, unfortunately our area rep was part of the revision process and was in the meeting when we were told about the need for transfers so I dont know what the next step would be!
if it does fail and you do have to transfer i'm sure you get an allowance for a few years
