hi I'm retiring in a few weeks time and I have 12 days holiday owing ,I have give them my date to retire, will they pay my days owing if I dnt take them or do I have to take them before I leave

they should pay them.
mine took numerous phone calls, eventually a threat of the small claims court
and about two months.

i fimished this week ihr and had 16 days owing. they automatically paid them without any asking so hopefully you should be ok.

a guy in our office was told to take his holidays before he retired, he decided to work them and did'nt get paid as he SHOULD have taken them before he left.

again it looks like local agreements are in place everywhere!!!

surely a large company like the one we work for should have the same rules and agreements across the board.

I had to take mine before my Last Day of Service. I didn't get an option to have them paid, but I wouldn't have wanted that anyway. I just wanted out asap.
