Yesterday me and my partner had to cut off and bring half a round back (all we can manage all week) due to how heavy it has been, we was doing our round earlier and we saw a manager delivering the mail must have been a few bags ahead of us, when we kept arriving to letter boxes (after the manager) mail was left half hanging out the letterbox in clear view of the public where they could be easily taken, p739 cards left on doorsteps (not written on as we put the cards to let us know of a parcel) and even parcels doorstepped?

I told my manager if any complaints come back we are not taking the wrap as its the manager who has been so terrible at posting mail, if it was on the other foot and a complaint was made or manager saw it then i wouldnt like to know what the manager would do us for!

i was so surprised to see that a manager who is hot on our heels if we make mistakes to do such a terrible job out on delivery, when i told my manager he said he will "have a word"

absolutely disgusting how thats ignored but if it was any postman we would be strung up quicker than you could sneeze

are you surprised because i'm not especially whats goes on at RM its always been the same in my book they the (management) change there rules to suit themselves and don't care of the consequences.

Surely you're mistaken Pullin? Any idiot straight off the street can do our job....it's so simple anyone can do it....... Apart from Managers it seems?

It's easy to sit in an office nice & warm & dry and lecture Posties about how the job should be done. Bit different when they have to get off their lazy arse and do it themselves.....Then like you say "The Shoe (probably non Royal mail issue) is on the other foot".

I'm sure you know which streets you didn't deliver. If any complaints come through concerning those streeets just pass the Buck. If any customers have a quite word the next day (like they often do trying not to drop you in the shite) give then a card with the RM customer services number on and recommend they make a formal complaint. That'll come through on the system and the DOM won't be able to just sweep it under the carpet so easily!
