2016 pay rise?

The last pay deal ends in April, does anyone know if we're likely of getting a pay rise this year? Thanks.

Why wouldn't part timers get a pro-rata reduction in contracted hours in line with a full time contracted hours reduction?

Let's say for arguments sake, RM want to reduce FT hours from 39 to 37 contracted hours per week for the same pay level as we have now, equivalent to ~5.13% (yes, a very optimistic equivalent pay rise).

30 hour PT would reduce to ~28hrs27mins.

22.5 hour PT would reduce to ~21hrs21mins.

etc.

And because managers don't want a headache on Saturdays, the contracted hours will be slightly longer on that day.

When they reduced your hours from 40 to 39 we never got a reduction in hours,, we got a slight rise If i remember rightly,,, and its not part timers hours they want to reduce,,, they want to bring full time hours down

No where have I said I want a reduction in hours,, was just replying to a comment,,, most part timers would like to increase there hours

I agree, all these fools who currently work through their breaks. If they stopped paying for them, by law you would still have to take them. I'd prefer to keep being paid for my breaks.

I agree, all these fools who currently work through their breaks. If they stopped paying for them, by law you would still have to take them. I'd prefer to keep being paid for my breaks.

Under current H&S guidelines you should be taking them anyway. However the management in my unit aren't really interested in staff taking them or enforcing/policing them & probably never will despite whether we are paid for them or not. The funny thing is a lot of staff moan about not having time to take a break because they have got lapsing to take as extra work! FFS!!

Me too,I go in the gym at my MC in my break so if you think about it I'm getting payed to go in the gym.

Lidl and Aldi are catching up with the hourly rate and in 3 years the minimum wage won't be far off either.
