Hi anyone come across ' undercover bosses' posing as newbies in their offices? We suspect we have one, he seems to know to much of the RM jargon and procedures to be a newbie. Just wondering if this a new tactic to see how we perform.

Interesting idea. Not come across anyone new in our office, for, ooohhh, years - so no. However, I wouldn't put it past RM management. When you say this individual knows "too much", can you give examples? Has anyone challenged this person, perhaps along the lines of "You seem to know a fair bit about RM - how come?"

In the past we have had newies trying to act like senior men in an attempt to fit in. If you don't think that's the case contact the IB.

Could be that he he has family or friends in the job, or had the sense to join this site in advance of starting and has learned a lot.
Can't imagine a manager going undercover it would mean them actually going outside for longer than a fag break.
