Xmas Temp Full Time

In our DO at Xmas the part timers always work the extra hours but the bonuses they receive are given on a pro rata basis. In neighbouring offices i've heard of some part timers being made temp full time for Xmas where they then receive the full bonus. What is the criteria for this? Just seems unfair why some offices work differently when we're all doing the same work.

No criteria for it, just need to get dom to get his finger out next year and get the pt contracts made ft on temp basis, there's no big secret or anything it's simply down to the dom making everyone up if he wants to

Thanks mate I thought as much. I did ask the Dom but was told that it wasn't the done thing anymore. Asked the union rep and he didn't seem to know much about it either.

Presumably if you were made up temp FT but had to go sick you would get full pay?

Probably why they don't do it.

After last Christmas the part timers in our office were given a bonus in January of around £18 or so. No full timers got it. So it was presumed it was the bonus pro rata for the hours worked over xmas rather than contracted hours.

this is true, 1 guy moaning it's unfair he'd done more hours than a lot of FT and i told him he'd get £15ish in Jan, then he moaned that's not good enough either
on the temp PT to FT, i got it this month along with a few others, don't know how the dom chose people as a lad who started 1 week after me never got asked?
