Night shift to day shifts

Anyone know how much time is needed between being on night sorting to going back on delivery? Thanks

You must have a minimum of 11hrs between any shift mate.
So even if you do overtime you still must have the minimum between your OT finish time and your own shift start time.
This is covered by the European working time directive.

Just to clarify you must be given 11 hours break between daily attendances, as an employee you do not need to take that 11 hours, there is no law that says it is mandatory to be taken just that it is mandatory that you have the opportunity to take it.

Just found out its 46 hours rest required after 3 night shifts in a row, thanks anyway guys

No such law unfortunately, some one has made that one up, it may be a local rule but no such law exists, are you being pressured to work extra hours or a with a shorter break?

Yea i was working Monday to Friday nights and now they've changed it to Sunday-Tuesday and Thursday on delivery....can't do Sunday and they're not happy

in that case just be careful how you argue with them, legally you can do those shifts as long as you get the 11 hour daily break (also legally they can give you less than 11 hours in certain circumstances but they probably wouldn't know or try that one!)
