Six day working, weeks off

Is there anybody out there who knows how the week off is calculated for those working six days......why do we go nine weeks over the Xmas period without a week off?

In my office the week in 6 is that - you get a week off every 6 weeks and works to a rota. If it falls over Christmas then you are just lucky. Holiday isn't strictly allowed over Xmas but the weeks off for working Sats continue throughout the year.

not sure what you mean? if you are working 6 days what rotation are you on 1 in 6 1 in 4?

Neither. They work 6 days/week for 6 weeks, then take the seventh week off in leiu of the 6 SWW days they have worked over the previous 6 weeks. Simples

but if that was the case why does he think he needs to go 9 weeks without a week off?

I thought it was work 6-day weeks for 5 weeks and then you are have the 6th week off?

We work a 6 day week, you get the 6th week off, you basically work one day a week for free. If your rest week falls over the pressure period you get it. I envy the guys who have next week off. However, because saturday the 26th is a non service day they do not get that credited unlike xmas day. Personally, the 5 weeks you work are a bit gutty I think but come week 6, bring it on. If you are on maximum leave you end up with 13 - 14 weeks a year off.

Best thing our DO ever did, going to these, especially nice having a week off in December.

Wallington rest weeks continue through the Xmas unaffected, unless you agree to work it as O/T.

we work 6 days and have every 4th week off - hence why I asked which one they do

Maybe i should clarify
I work 6 days a week for 5 weeks
The 6th week then becomes my rest week off, thats ok
However my rest week in november is followed by 9 weeks until January when my next rest week occurs

I am told this is'rotation payback'
Anybody aware of what this means?

Never heard of that. Sounds a bit of a rip off. I would look into that a.s.a.p as the managers will do anything to f**k you over.

Rotational payback doesn't happen. They are just trying to get you in over Christmas. Don't stand for it

We work 6 days a week for 3 weeks too And have the 4th week off, I am on 30 hour contract so do 40 hours for 3 weeks and get paid for 30, the extra 10 hours go to the 4th week
