prep rate

Are any reps able to help with a query I have, there was a situation in our office today where someone streamed the mail so he could get back to the office on his finishing time, the manager counted the mail that he had boxed up to deliver and came up with a prep rate of 13 and said that this was diabolical, I know he doesn't have the right to do this and should use the 1 minute test, we threatened to report him for harassment and were told he would put in a counter claim, if the same thing happens tomorrow does anybody know what we should do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly make sure you put the onus on management to decide what you take or leave. the 1 minute test is the only one recognised so he is using idle threats to put pressure on the members. speak to the area rep but most importantly dont leave anyone isolated just stay strong and united. He is 1 you are many.

I may be wrong, but if they're planning on testing you, shouldn't they inform you that they're doing it?

In which case, he shouldn't be counting the mail like that and he can put in a counter-claim as much as he likes, but he'll fall flat on his face.
