Travelling to other offices

Are there any reserves on here that has worked at another office and got paid overtime for travelling in there own time?my area management are refusing to pay it

Hopefully one of the admin lads can post a link. This subject pops up fairly regularly. Minimum requirement (IMO) is they pay you T&S Traveling & Subsistence. This is an amount per mile (make sure you get the higher amount, think it's about 54p). This should be from your office to theirs.

Depending on how desperate they are the DOM at your "New" Office may be able to pay you traveling time. Normally by fiddling the books and paying it as overtime on the Duty you're covering. I suggest you push for it... it's your time.

Make sure you record all the hours you work and ensure your "New" DOM sends what is called a "Screen Shot" to your "Old" DOM every Day/Week to cover the time you've done in his office. I believe your "Old" DOM has to pay you but claims the hours back from your "New" DOM....but he needs to claim those hours back, which is where the problems start! Check your payslips and make sure you highlight any short falls. Don't let them drag on week after week or it gets difficult.

Your car may not be covered for travel to another office as commuting is usually only to your normal workplace, and not for onward journeys. More so if you have had a P&L revision when the bond has been removed.

If you are tasked to work in another office then the PM07 agreement specifically states

Working in nearby offices – Areas will identify and agree with the CWU locally a approach (which could include the use of volunteers and reserves) to working in nearby offices within employees’ contracted hours which will include travel times and appropriate travel and subsistence arrangements.

45p a mile FACT!!
I get paid from home to other work place not from workplace to work place. I once did a full week in an office further away and got paid £61 just in fuel costs which costs me only a tenner.

Ive been working consistently in other offices for the past few months and have been receiving 45p per mile until i got my travel slip today and it had dropped to 25p per mile. was told after a certain amount of miles claimed it drops to 25p. Is this true?

Thought that was after 10,000 miles at 45p....
