At home whilst sick

Does it say anywhere that whilst being on the sick due to stress that I have to stay indoors? cause my DOM has been round my house and I wasnt in, I know i can say i was at the doctors or getting a prescription but why should i have to explain

Absolutely no reason why you have to be at home whilst on Sick leave. You don't have to answer the door to your manager either.
You could contact him and ask him to make an appointment to see you If he needs to, at a time and place convenient to you.

Sometimes it is better to get out of the house if you are stressed, have a walk in the park.

Even a long walk can do wonders to stress.

If you are a part of the union the manager has to come with a union rep to your house.

A long walk can do wonders for stress. Does for me, I find 5hrs about right to calm down from the first 3 hrs indoors lol. Seriously management harrasing workers off with stress is just silly.

We walk 8-10 miles a day, it is more than reasonable to expect we must try to walk a mile and build that up before we are fit again for duty.

That should be the unions advice for all workers off sick.
