requesting transfer to mount pleasant

Due to my situation of being saturday permanent but working 6 days doing a different walk daily and often sent to other offices at short notice and never knowing when i was going to finish etc. I wanted stability so enquired if i could be transferred to to mount pleasant doing nights or whatever shift is available. The manager told me staff cannot get transferred to mount pleasant or mail centres anymore. Is this correct? They employ casuals over xmas. so arent the permanent staff royal mail? So how does one get a job there? Apply direct through the website?

Find a contact at Mount Pleasant then ask for manager/dom name and try contacting them direct.

You'll have to be prepared for the possibility of having to either go part time or do 4 day weeks (10hr shifts) or 3 day weeks (12hr shifts)

I don't understand why you don't know what time you'll finish each as day because when you're sent to another office your finish time is at your regular office.

According to RM there is a staff surplus at Mount Pleasant after other London MCs were closed and staff transferred to MP. There have been EVR/VRs there every year for the last few years, so it is highly unlikely that they will be taking on more permanent staff.
The Xmas temps are only there for 3 weeks to help deal with the increased mail at this time of year.
