Absorption over christmas

Are there any offices out there still being asked to absorb extra walks over this busy period ? 19000 extra staff over Christmas but not where they are needed.

In our office the absorbed duties have been added to our own personal frames and are now classed as ordinary loops. As far as doms are concerned no lapsing.

Lapsing taken off for the past few weeks and through Christmas.If they give us it, we would just fail it.

No matter what they call it. If it can't be done in duty hours , then hand it back or do it on o/t. Personally ide hand it back.

That goes without saying. The majority of the office treats it as though it is lapsing. Doms have found themselves doing more walking since they added it to our frames

added to our frames here, you just have to do it and claim, dont mind extra cash but the ballache is the extra specials and pillar box included, should scrap special delivery now and just call them tracked, after all, the tracked get treated the same. Or make them guaranteed next day not 1pm.
While i'm on the subject of specials, why are most of them now cheap foreign no signature packets??

In our office the model week seems to be for letters and totally ignores the likes of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We haven't lapsed for a couple of weeks though so can't grumble!

Haha, sounds familiar to our place. They try to make it happen only while the summer lasts. I don't think there was a single week when it all got cleared because so many just couldn't take it. I think it's one of those ideas that may work in some offices but is just plain absurd in others.

There was OT for anyone who wanted it most days throughout the summer period tho, so happy days.
