if you're to time then hand the slip in for someone else to do or wait until morning, any moans then insist on a pda before you leave.

Because of the large parcels we have postmen doing van duties and they all need PDA's and this means with also no one on holiday we are about 5 PDA's short .

just write the number on a slip, if none available then write it on a 739, make a manager aware of this procedure and extra time consuming and it will give him/her less argument when you can't deliver the summer lapsing that day

bet you're bottom dollar you'll have a pda next day and mr mafia will move on to bullying someone else

people are coming back to the office with 20 tracked numbers on a piece of paper and they have to be put in manually when they get back...........totally tinpot

Now we do collections as well and we have to scan the pillar boxes, Ive noticed that our PDAs are fully functioning with a decent charge!

Same here, a major PDA shortage, god knows what has happened to them all, but I'm sure the extra staff there with no leave will have something to do with it. Never known this before. As usual the last ones out suffer, workers stealing PDA's from each other, and also taking two out with them because chargers in the vans don't work and the things have poor batteries and run out. The return of the paper and pen!

A further decline in the service and I think we are going to be a laughing stock this time, bottom performer.

We're about 5 PDA's short.
Management were made aware of the situation some 6 weeks ago and did nothing.
Now they send staff out with cards.

I'm sure they expect the poor mug in the RLE to scan the cards at some point - but as that's me and it is not my fault we don't have enough PDA's i simply post them off to EPOD at the MC.
Should any complaints come in from the mC then management can deal with it.

There seems to be an ever increasing amount of issues that go ignored by management as they don't have to directly deal with them - just do what you can within the safety of the rules and regs and throw the issues back at them.

Them items are probably failing as the items won't get scanned by the MC, the epods will just be sent of to Wolverhampton (I think that's where they get sent)
