Make sure you never work more than 49 hours per week as the overtime rate then falls below the normal hourly rate.

It doesn't you know, you have an extra 10 hours over the normal 39 hours, then it goes down.

According to my payslip, these are the current pay rates (for those outside London):
Up to 39 hrs in a week .......... £10.40/hr (there is also the Delivery Supplement of about 60p/hr)
Hours 39 to 49 in a week ....... £10.77/hr
Overtime over 49 hrs ............ £10.40/hr
So since the last agreement, all overtime rate is the same or higher than the basic rate, but only the first 39 hours qualify for the extra delivery supplement.
