What would you choose ?

3 options in our office during the next 3 weeks. NO 1 ,normal working hours,with your normal floating day. NO 2 , work your day off stay on your own duty all the time,staff who have chosen this I think they are frightened a reserve might obtain a few xmas tips .NO 3 , work 4 day week,but the days you work are 9.45 hours 06.00-15.45. I HAVE CHOSEN OPTION 3 THAT EXTRA DAY OFF WILL BE VERY HANDY

yeah option 3 sounds nice, also helps to get the deliveries actually completed as extra time is always needed this time of year.

I've not committed to anything extra . We've got one option were you sign to commit to finishing all deliveries! That'll be fun if it's a particularly heavy day.

To late once you've signed on the dotted lane. As far as I'm concerned it's business as usual. Royal Mail knows what to expect every year, they should change part timers contracts or get some more posties in. Quite a few of us have informed the DOM we will be finishing at the usual time.

I spoke to one guy that had signed it. He said it didn't bother him as he'd always finish all his deliveries. But he is an "Overtime Bandit"! He's always hoovering up any overtime for taking out the lapsed sections that are left behind or duties that have left mail behind in order to finish on time. I've nothing against a working man earning a bit extra but I'm sure some Posties Health is going to suffer from all the extra hours they put in...Like about 14 hours a week and a couple of collections thrown on top!

14 hours a week, he's an amateur. There are people in my office on delivery who are grabbing at extra 30 hours per week and finishing in the dark every night.

Didn't pay too much attention but I think they're paying any "Promised Overtime" at the scheduled rate. Then they 'll be raking a whooping 50p ish extra per hour!
