Annual Leave Advice please

Post by sharktc »

In My Office we Always get deadlines to hand the forms back to them but when it's their time to return them they take forever and this here they were rather late in handing them out in the first place and only gave us a week to hand it back normally is 2 weeks is there like a rule when they should be handed out and handed back sounds petty but it's rather annoying when you trying to book flights to go on hols and you don't know if you got the holiday that you picked....

No rules on how long you should have forms or how long to sort it out, there is a rule in the way forward agreement that states the whole process should be completed by end of October each year for the next year's annual leave year

The way forward agreement for download anyone?? i spoken with them today and i was told that to sort the holiday isn't as easy as i think i just have to wait till they give the sheet back so if someone can pass me the document so i can print it and highlight the part that says by the end of October that would be awesome!

the way forward agreement is in the downloads section, the relevant part is this:
Way Forward Agreement wrote: The leave year will be April to March. The Christmas pressure period, determined by the operational unit, will be a closed period for leave. The selection process should be complete by the end of the preceding October each year.
Also from reading you posts you appear have been the union rep for at least a year and half in your office, not knowinhg or even having a copy of the Way Forward agreement for so long is pretty poor practice
