Forecast to line manager that i would be 30 minutes over, his reply was that on his figures i was leaving office 10 minutes before i should be, i claimed 25 minutes. Basically do i take any notice regarding him quoting me times and figures, for all i know he could be quoting me anything.

He is just quoting you anything. He has no idea what time you are meant to leave office.

They just say anything.

its simple, if you say im going to be 30 min over, he says it should be none or only 10, then simply ask him will he pay 30 minutes or not, if he wont then cut off, dont worry about figures he is quoting, its either he pays the over time you need or he doesnt and then deals with it

I agree, I wouldn't bother asking if he will pay, just tell him you won't be able to complete. What makes me laugh is, you extend and they pay you say 30 mins, you take it back and someone else doing it as a cutoff gets hours. They get hours simply because the lino doesn't want to do it himself so pays what they ask for.

Same manager different day,today he was practically begging us all on his section of the office to try and work beyond our finishing time over the next 4 weeks to get the job done, royal mail managers are a different breed.
