What happens after Xmas?

Could someone please tell me what normally happens to part time staff after xmas when things get more quiet.
I started on 25hr but have been put on 30hr but obviously this is not contractually.
Will i go back down to 25hr after xmas, does it vary from DO to DO, is there always enough work to go round?

varied from office to office but yes expect it to drop back down to 25 hours, though maybe not straight away as January is usually pretty heavy with mail

If i continuously work for 30hr + for 6 months can i ask for a review and what are my chances?

You can ask for a review but thing to remember is that if it throws up any extra hours for the office they would go to the most senior part timer who wanted them not necessarily yourself,
