No leave in December

My son is studying royal mail as part of his university work and is specifically looking at how the company adapts to supply and demand.

I've told him that we are not allowed leave in December and that Christmas casuals get taken on. However he needs a source for this information rather than a postman's word. Is this in writing anywhere?

Or does anyone know of any documents or agreements that I can point him towards regarding change and how the business adapts. Maybe a lapsing agreement or something?

Loads of people had early December off last year in my DO.

but you are at least entitled to a reason other than christmas pressure
