The ‘With Your Neighbour’ slip is quick and easy to complete. It has a clear message for our customers, giving the house number, number of items, date and time of delivery. The slip should be used instead of a P739 after a Delivery to Neighbour has been successful.

The slips come in a 50 sheet tear-off pad for easy handling and completion. Units that need new stock can reorder them in the usual way through Swindon stores.

The slip makes it easier to successfully complete Delivery to Neighbour, a Royal Mail standard. The standard means, where there’s no opt out sticker and it’s safe and secure to do so, Delivery to Neighbour must be attempted every time a customer is not in.

First time delivery is important throughout the year, but even more so in the lead up to Christmas. It means you take fewer items out for redelivery and reduces customer queues at enquiry offices.

A quality development that will save money on P739 cards (and time) and more importantly perhaps... cut down on unnecessary trips to the Delivery Office by dopey customers who fail to read the P739 card properly. Deliver to Neighbour is a godsend... it works for me and my customers

So presumably made of thin paper, and likely to be impossible to post through most letterboxes without putting fingers at risk of injury.
Not to mention turning to mush on a rainy day.

How difficult is it to read a 739 card? Like everything else, a simple task made more time consuming

I'll stick to ticking the 'With your neighbour at' box on the 739 card, rather than filling my non-existent pockets with more crap.

It can be a Royal Mail standard all it wants. It does not override employment law however, and as such until time is built in to duties then I will continue as I have always done.

If they want me to get rid of every item, fair enough, but they better be prepared for handbacks every single day.

Many people dont want us to leave with their neighbour, how are we supposed to know which neighbour can be trusted with parcel?
This can only be done after experience on same walk or if customer specifically uses the RM "leave with neighbour" option.
If they want more efficient parcel delivery and collection its simple - EMPLOY MORE STAFF!!

I knocked on a neighbours door on Monday on a round that isn't mine. The woman came to the door and hissed 'don't knock my door again I'm sick of taking next doors parcels in, oh and you've woke my baby'. BUT ROYAL MAIL SAY WE MUST KNOCK ON NEIGHBOURS. Now we get told off by the public for carrying out orders from our bosses. Maybe the bosses should try this job one day. What a load of bollox this job is
