It can't get much worse we go over most days now and walk about 10 miles per day any more work simply won't get done I cut off twice last week and it will happen more and more, I genuinely think people are going to struggle long term with this job , there is no way I am working past 60 doing this nowadays I can see big problems of the rm soon

now that i think of it i do recall hearing some managers mention changes in the new year ... but what do you mean by "all walk time is gone" though?

think he means you go on your break at exact time no matter how far from your work area canteen or rest room is. it used to be you got 5 minutes to go wash your hands etc. now your 40 minute break will include walking to and from canteen or rest room so depending on how far you are working away from these areas you could lose 10 mins off your break.

There's no official "walk time" or "wash your hands" time but really, I can't see them getting rid of it in the mail centres. Managers also want to get a head start on their break, staff drift away, hide, stand around talking. Or they come back late, take 20 minutes in the loo, etc. etc.

I've been in some strict mail centres but this is human nature. You can't stop it.

i think most in delivery know huge problems are coming as it just cannot go on as it is with the impossible workload & pressure,

until the many managers and linos are cut , the morale will be down, they simply do very little, most don't know the answer to a question you might have, waste of space, cut them out altogether.

Our office has walks doing collections from boxes. Collections from Post Offices and firms are still on driving duties.
