As a rural driver it seems I have been singled out for refusing to extend on an exceptionaly busy day. Some mild intimidadion used then all my mail counted after it had all been tied up and loaded onto a york(as requested by mananger), before being loaded into van. This was after my 40 min break.
Interviewed next morning with regard to my 'indoor work' and am now to be tested next week. Three other drivers on same day worked through their breaks and claimed it as extended on return to office - the same amount of time I was to cut off. No questions asked. Any comments welcomed.

I've been prep tested 3 or 4 times, there is very little they can actually do to you apart from intimidation,as far as I know now the only prep test is the 1 minute into an empty frame, what they were doing to me was counting my mail and using the BSI figure of 100 to say that I should be able to fully prep my walk in something like 45 min's,pretty pointless really as I am only on 6 hours a day, walk is set at 4hrs 45 mins.30 min break and 10 mins each way travelling, which leaves 25 mins to do prep and everything else, nothing came off it with me mate and I'm sure nothing will happen to you, they are just trying to intimidate you into coming in early and working thru.prowler wrote:As a rural driver it seems I have been singled out for refusing to extend on an exceptionaly busy day. I think this is the main problem the makes the job so shite. RM wants its workers to work over their hours so everybody has to earn every penny of their wages. But they refuse to accept people only working their hours and nothing more. Like we should somehow all feel obligated to get every thing cleared no matter how long it takes. Add that to the fact that a lot of managers seem to take it personally, as if you're cutting of just to piss them off and you end up with a stressful, shitty environment for us all!
Perhaps one day they will realise they can't have it both ways and then maybe we can all enjoy a better working day!

What's worse than management expecting you to extend is getting it from the person you work with. He wants to work over so takes a pissy mood just because you don't
